The Providence College men’s basketball team started the season with a second place finish in the 2013 Ezybonds Global Payments U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam. It was announced on Sunday, March 16 that the Friars will be a No. 11 seed and will play sixth-seeded North Carolina on Friday, March 21 in the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas.

No. 15 Texas A&M was selected to its ninth straight NCAA Tournament on Monday night, and begins its 2014 NCAA Tournament in College Station on Sunday, March 23 against North Dakota.

The 9th ranked Duke women’s basketball team received its 20th straight NCAA Tournament selection on Monday. The Blue Devils (27-6) were seeded No. 2 in the Lincoln Region and will play 15th-seeded Winthrop (24-8) in the first round Saturday, March 22, 2014 in Cameron Indoor Stadium.

For the first time in program history, the Syracuse women’s basketball team is heading to the NCAA Tournament in consecutive seasons. The sixth-seeded Orange (22-9) earned an at-large bid and will play No. 11 seeded Chattanooga on Saturday, March 22 at 1:30 p.m. in Lexington, Ky.

Women’s National Invitation Tournament (WNIT)
The Central Michigan women’s basketball program will host IUPUI in the first round of the 2014 Postseason Women’s National Invitational Tournament Thursday night, the WNIT selection committee announced Monday evening. Tipoff for the first-round matchup is set for 7 p.m. The Chippewas posted a perfect 11-0 record inside the friendly confines of McGuirk Arena during the regular season
